This has been completed with the recent dialog redesign! In addition to platforms, you can also set tags and the dialog displays more metadata about the game.

When adding games after running a search, you don't seem to have the ability to choose the platform, only "click to add". Unless I've missed something, it'd be great to choose the platform then and there instead of having to specify it later after you've added it from the search results.
