How can we improve KTOMG?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  1. Add additional Consoles

    It would be nice if the mini consoles were on the site as well as other console types such as the analogue fpga stuff and things like playdate.

    Will close this for now as you can add platforms to IGDB.com if needed. In the future, I may support custom platforms/games but that is a separate feature to track.

    As a “workaround” you can always use Tags and use them to organize however you want, such as tagging with “Playdate”. You can even create lists that automatically include games with certain tags.

    I like the overall idea, but I won't be open sourcing the core of KTOMG. However, I have some plans that involve open sourcing parts of KTOMG where people could potentially contribute. This won't be for awhile. Thanks for the suggestion.

  4. Import Steam Categories

    I have been attempting to organize my Steam games via their Category system, but I am finding this site much better suited for the task. It would be handy to have those categories imported into KTOMG as tags, so that I could easily organize my library instead of having to retag everything.

    This is a great idea but unfortunately the Steam API does not return this information for me to use. If that changes, or if I find some other way like a Desktop app that scans your collection, I will happily re-open this! Thanks for the idea.

  6. Rating system

    Hi there, first thanks fot all your effort i love this site and i would like to see a rating system not 5 stars but a 10/10 system its a personal prefrence but i think its way better then the stars system or you could add both it could work i guess again thanks to all your effort best tracking site ever and good luck i hope this feature is comming soon .

  8. Bug: Steam sync doesn't work 100%

    Steam sync says it synced 383 games but 'My Games' only shows 237. Which means I'm missing almost 150 games in my list.

    This is just an issue with how many games are still under review (since we manually have to link Steam games with GiantBomb games). The collection will automatically fill out when we get through the backlog of reviews (2000+ games)

    As opposed to "now playing" and "played," some games feel like they are just "backlogged" for now.

    The intent was for Want to Play to serve this case—it’s a Backlog status (pre-May, it was actually called Backlog but we changed the phrasing because some folks didn’t know what a Backlog is).

    We will be adding more granular statuses.

    Since we leverage GiantBomb, any games that need to be added can be added through the GiantBomb site since it is a community wiki. Games are fed in nightly though we plan to increase the frequency of syncing games. Thanks!
