Feature Suggestion: Add "Time Played" or "Time to Beat" Tracker
I would like to suggest a new feature that I believe would enhance the user experience on your website: the ability to track and display how much time users have spent playing a game or how long it typically takes to beat it.
This feature could include:
- A field where users can log the total hours they’ve played a game.
- An average “time to beat” based on community input, which could help other users get an idea of how long a game might take to complete.
- Optionally, a breakdown of time spent on different modes (e.g., story mode, multiplayer).
This…

Option to get rid of wishlisted games from 'My games' entirely?
It really bothers me seeing them there. I know you can filter them off, but that doesn't stick. Setting them to undecided doesn't remove/hide them from the list.

Add a played status
There are games that with just playing for some time you have a somewhat complete experience, for example, i have not beaten minecraft but played enough to had it played and not necessarily come back to it, its not abandonned either, just played and enjoyed.
16 votesThanks for the feedback. I agree, and this will be part of a larger status rewrite in a future update.
Right now "Beaten", "Abandoned", "Completed", and "Mastered" are all considered a Played game, but I also know these are confusing to people so I'll be simplifying it with a single Played status with different completion states, tied into the new Playthrough & Progress Tracking features.
For now, adding it to Beaten will achieve the same goal, but I understand it'll feel a little off.

Private Notes
It would be great if Private Notes added to games would be hidden on default when browsing different lists rather than visible on each game. It makes some lists look incredibly long (especially when you have a lot of games logged in) and makes browsing them a lot longer than required as a consequence.
Implementing a button such as "Expand Private Note" or something similar to view it would be much more desirable in my opinion.

Create new list with selected games
Currently, if you select a bunch of games you own, click the List dropdown menu, then click the Create New List option, you're brought to a new page to create a list without any of the games you had selected being saved or brought over into the new list. I've wasted a ton of time by making specific selections only to have them all deselected because I wanted to put them in a new list.

Reviews + Extension of Notes/Description
- Make Note/Description a little longer I usually leave decently sized reviews and had to cut many down to fit
- Make Note/Description editable on the game page screen (where you can add the game to your my games, change status, platforms, tags and list)
Im currently using Tags + Note/Description as a way to "review" games (by having lists dedicated for X stars and same with tags) but would be good if there was first class support for doing it (albeit optional as I'm sure not everyone would want it)
17 votesGreat feedback, ratings & reviews are definitely on the roadmap. I will keep this separate from Ratings since it's a similar but different capability. Right now Notes are meant to be small and not designed for review or long-form text. 100% agree with your feedback, and will be designing a first-class review experience soon!

Enable custom fields for user-specified metadata
As a user, I would like to be able to create my own custom numeric fields for games, which would be available for sorting and filtering of my backlog. I would populate the values for these fields myself, similar to setting which platform I have a particular game on.
For instance, I could create the field "playtime," and then manually populate this with the average playtime from HLTB when I add a game to my queue. I could create an additional field called "rating" and manually populate this from whichever rating service I trust the most.
Then, when browsing my…
6 votesThank you for submitting this as an official idea -- this is on the roadmap!
Note that some things you mentioned, specifically play time and rating, will be integrated features so you shouldn't need custom fields. But other fields you might want to track will be supported.
As a workaround, tags are super flexible and can be used in a similar way. For example, you can create tags with emojis for ratings and filter/create lists based on them.

However, tags don't support dynamic values or feed into stats which custom fields would be ideal for.

Difficulty and time information for games
I know this would be quite troublesome to implement but I would love it to have difficulty and time to complete for games, both for games with achievements and without it. There's already a topic asking for HLTB, so that would solve time for majority of games, however difficulty is another story as there's no sure place to get this info from. Also for games with achievements it would be better to just have this as an extra set of information, and similiar to how PlatPrices does I guess. I would love to be able to order my backlog by…

List/Table view
It would be great to have a more compact way of displaying your collection. Even the compact view is too bulky at the moment and it gets too difficult to use if you have thousands of games in your collection (every tile takes several lines).
It would be great to have a table view where every game takes exactly one line. All the information (tags, platforms, etc...) can be shown in separate columns. (similarly to GOG Galaxy, for example)

control steam wishlist and collections from website
I don't know if any Steam api's allow for that, but it'd be EXTREMELY convenient if you could access your steam wishlist from here, and change it from here. Same with any steam collections/lists.

RSS Feed for Lists
On all my other media tracking websites (Letterboxd, GoodReads, Trakt, etc), I can get an RSS feed that posts an update when I finish watching/reading something. I'd love something similar for my KTOMG profile.

Epic
Epic games import please!

Game Badges for website or Blog
A way to show off your games, a badge that provides a quick overview of your account. So we can out it on our Website or Blog to show off games beaten or size of collection or maybe even currently playing games ect...
10 votesYep, I love this idea and could see the ability to set up static images for forum signatures or "rich widgets" for websites, blogs, etc. Ability to point to a list and preview how it looks.

Track price I paid for my games
I want to be able to track the price I paid for a game and see a summary similar to the left navigation badge showing game counts. This could go hand-in-hand with collection valuation too.

Track attributes of a game from a collectors pov
It would be nice to be able to flag additional attributes to a particular game beyond just if you own it. Attributes like the following:
- Physical
- Virtual
- Manual
- Box
- Loose

Auto-sync/update game played/playing/active/stalled/etc status via steam
Not sure how detailed the Steam API is, but automatically changing a game's status to Active/Playing if the game has more than like 1min playtime and the "last played" date is within a recent time period (3-6 months?). Also maybe change to Paused/Stalled if it has playtime but hasn't been played in like 6 months or longer.
15 votesYeah, I like this idea and was thinking the same thing. I’ll probably let you customize the timeframes it uses to “auto-sort” them into the right lists.
