I think this site could really benefit from allowing users to add progress notes to specific games where users can make note of the last thing that they did in the game or if the site could implement some sort of checklist for each game tailored towards that exact games progress so you have a bigger picture of how you're getting along in your games rather than only knowing if it's something you're currently playing.102 votes
Just an update:
This is coming soon, likely alongside playtime tracking (I may merge both those ideas into one set of features).
As part of this, you'll be able to:
- Track playthroughs and time spent
- Track active progress
- Better note tracking
- Possible checklists you can share or keep private (think Red Dead 2 lists to find everything that is tough to track)
a 5 star rating score can given to any game I have played94 votes
This should be going along with the social features
Rather than solely Steam.83 votes
GOG importing is available now. Xbox (Gamepass, etc.) is likely to be up next!
Make an app for this website. Could be very beneficial, especially when it comes to push notifications and things like that. Just a thought.76 votes
The site has been designed to work on mobile devices—try opening the site on your phone, for example. You can even pin the site to your home screen! However, we know that many people expect to find an app on the store and we plan to release apps for iOS, Android, and Windows 10. We’re also planning to release a desktop version of KTOMG but all this requires some extra work to make offline browsing possible. Thanks for the suggestion!
When viewing a game, instead of just seeing how many people added it you should be able to see what other games those people added. For example a box on the side saying "Users who added Silent Hill to their list also added: Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3, Resident Evil 4, Outlast etc..."
This would be great for discovering new games from people who have similar taste to yours.70 votes
Add 'Ownership Status' to initial 'Add to my games' window52 votes
Similar to the giantbomb database, when making a blank search, all games are listed with the ability to sort and filter it by any tags. This would be great to build my wishlist and backlog!47 votes
This will be offered soon. We will update this when we’re closer to releasing this feature.
I want to see an upcoming schedule of games within the next few months so I know what's on the horizon and can follow games I'm interested in47 votes
I think that there should be a way we can enter and log the amount of achievements we have earned from games. I like to keep track of achievements and it would be nice to be able to note down this on the website.39 votes
I’ll do you one better, the planned functionality is to automatically sync achievements across Steam, Microsoft, and Sony systems using their services. I haven’t looked but it may be possible to take in achievements from GiantBomb too, which would provide an “official” way to add achievements to games that don’t expose any.
It would be cool to export the lists, and even use it as template to import new games to the lists.
Also give us participating users more votes! I have only 3 left after posting some suggestions!
We plan to allow RSS feeds and export to CSV, hopefully with service integration (i.e. sync all my lists to Dropbox/OneDrive/Google Drive/etc).
If I could look at my list of games and see how much of a time commitment they are at a glance, I wouldn't have to individually search them on hltb. If this is possible I really think that this would be amazing.37 votes
I am not sure I will be able to directly integrate with HLTB (there's some data maybe I can get at).
However, soon I will be implementing playthrough and time tracking, along with general progress tracking.
The ability to see more under each category. I'd personally like to see a lot more than just the 12 in each category.
And then perhaps a recommendation system, that will give a list of recommended games based on things like favorite games. Maybe even let us choose our favorite genres, and it will recommend games based on that.34 votes
Definitely coming in the future—the explore page is an area we definitely want to expand on.
Since not every game is not on giant bomb, could there be an option to write your own entry into the list? Perhaps add the option to put in the main game homepage into the entry too. Maybe even KToMG could periodically search your own entries and notify you if a giantbomb page has been made for one of those, and you can choose to update the info? Or perhaps expand the choices of databases to search from? Steam and steam greenlight would be good ones.24 votes
This may be a future Powerup.
Currently any updates can be submitted to IGDB.com which is community-driven and changes will be reflected within an hour or so.
Add option for "unbeatable games", such as games that have no real objective, like party games (e.g. Dad Beat Dads, Jackbox Party). It would be nice to be able to say that "Hey, no goal. Just a fun game."25 votes
This should probably be included within the Progress reporting feature, to mark a game as having no real “progress” per se.
I want to be able to track DLC for a game, like Destiny. DLC has release dates so I should be able to get notified about that.24 votes
DLC and Expansions are now “supported” but the integration is not optimized yet (for example, collapsing within your game list).
Search will show DLC/expansions and they can be added just like main games.
I definitely plan to address this when I overhaul search.
Searching only seems to return exact matches e.g. if I search for "metal gear solid" I am only shown the original game of that title and not the sequels.22 votes
Search is pretty messed up at the moment, I definitely plan to improve it soon. In addition to making the relevancy better, I will be adding indicators for DLC/expansions/series, etc. Thank you for the feedback!
Right now KTOMG only tracks US release dates. If I'm in another region, I want to track my region's release (UK/AU/Japan). Furthermore, some platforms release at different times (e.g. The Elder Scrolls Online) so I would also like to track specific platforms.17 votes
For PS3 games, I can choose "PS3" or "PlayStation Network (PS3)", but Giant Bomb has decided to not differentiate between physical and digital going forward, including no "PlayStation Network (PS4)" option . I want to share with my friends and family what games I have, and knowing whether I have a physical copy they can borrow (friends) or it's a digital game that we would have to download (kids) would be helpful.

This is a great idea and something I had thought of but was waiting for someone to request. I’ll include this for my plans when I update Ownership features.
It would be fantastic if you could save a set of filters as a "view" that you can quickly click on to sort your library in a particular way, without having to set each individual filter criteria each time.
For instance, say I have a view I want to call "Unplayed Playstation Games". This filter might consist of the PS3, PS4 OR PSN platforms and the NOT SET play status. It would be great to save this view so that next time I want to view with these filters, I can just click that saved view.16 votes
When adding new games to collection, add the option to have "Unplayed" status, instead of having to use the "undecided".16 votes
