Be able to rate games
a 5 star rating score can given to any game I have played
102 votes2026 Update: Ratings and reviews will likely be split into two phases, private and public. Public reviews are subject to content moderation which we don't have the capacity to support right now. However, private ratings and reviews are much more doable.
The latest March 2026 Caldera Update added playthrough tracking, which provides a nice integration point for rating a game when you log a completion. Some integration work needs to be finished first to bring the HLTB/timing metadata to the rest of the app. Once that's done, it will be easier to integrate ratings into playthroughs, completions, and lists.
In the meantime, to build your own rating system, you can make emoji-based tags (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) and use those, or create a ranking system based on tags (S, A, B, C, D, etc.). Notes can be used for private reviews but long notes can be annoying on lists and that specifically will…

Native Apps for Apple and Android
Make an app for this website. Could be very beneficial, especially when it comes to push notifications and things like that. Just a thought.
89 votesThe site has been designed to work on mobile devices—try opening the site on your phone, for example. You can even pin the site to your home screen! However, we know that many people expect to find an app on the store and we plan to release apps for iOS, Android, and Windows 10. We’re also planning to release a desktop version of KTOMG but all this requires some extra work to make offline browsing possible. Thanks for the suggestion!

Sync with Origin, Uplay, Battle.net
Rather than solely Steam.
83 votesCompleted: GOG, Xbox, PSN, and Steam.
Other providers will be added in the future but there is a way to do it today using the Bulk Import Powerup. This lets you upload a spreadsheet to import, which you could bring from other apps or platforms. This feature is currently in Early Access for paid members.
As for when these other providers will be added, there is some work needed to streamline and simplify Powerups in general so that it makes it easier to connect your different accounts separate from importing. That work is going on right now.

People who played this game also played...
When viewing a game, instead of just seeing how many people added it you should be able to see what other games those people added. For example a box on the side saying "Users who added Silent Hill to their list also added: Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3, Resident Evil 4, Outlast etc..."
This would be great for discovering new games from people who have similar taste to yours.

Add a release calendar
I want to see an upcoming schedule of games within the next few months so I know what's on the horizon and can follow games I'm interested in

List all games with different ways to sort and filter
Similar to the giantbomb database, when making a blank search, all games are listed with the ability to sort and filter it by any tags. This would be great to build my wishlist and backlog!
49 votesThis will be offered soon. We will update this when we’re closer to releasing this feature.

Improve search function
Searching only seems to return exact matches e.g. if I search for "metal gear solid" I am only shown the original game of that title and not the sequels.
45 votesSearch is pretty messed up at the moment, I definitely plan to improve it soon. In addition to making the relevancy better, I will be adding indicators for DLC/expansions/series, etc. Thank you for the feedback!

Achievement logging
I think that there should be a way we can enter and log the amount of achievements we have earned from games. I like to keep track of achievements and it would be nice to be able to note down this on the website.
45 votesI’ll do you one better, the planned functionality is to automatically sync achievements across Steam, Microsoft, and Sony systems using their services. I haven’t looked but it may be possible to take in achievements from GiantBomb too, which would provide an “official” way to add achievements to games that don’t expose any.

Epic
Epic games import please!
36 votesI don't yet know what is needed for this, but either a desktop app, browser extension, or API ingestion would be planned for this like other import Powerups.

A much more useful Explore page
The ability to see more under each category. I'd personally like to see a lot more than just the 12 in each category.
And then perhaps a recommendation system, that will give a list of recommended games based on things like favorite games. Maybe even let us choose our favorite genres, and it will recommend games based on that.
34 votesDefinitely coming in the future—the explore page is an area we definitely want to expand on.

Unbeatable / No Objective
Add option for "unbeatable games", such as games that have no real objective, like party games (e.g. Dad Beat Dads, Jackbox Party). It would be nice to be able to say that "Hey, no goal. Just a fun game."
32 votesThis should probably be included within the Progress reporting feature, to mark a game as having no real “progress” per se.
-
Add a played status
There are games that with just playing for some time you have a somewhat complete experience, for example, i have not beaten minecraft but played enough to had it played and not necessarily come back to it, its not abandonned either, just played and enjoyed.
30 votesThanks for the feedback. I agree, and this will be part of a larger status rewrite in a future update.
Right now "Beaten", "Abandoned", "Completed", and "Mastered" are all considered a Played game, but I also know these are confusing to people so I'll be simplifying it with a single Played status with different completion states, tied into the new Playthrough & Progress Tracking features.
For now, adding it to Beaten will achieve the same goal, but I understand it'll feel a little off.

Allow custom games and metadata
Since not every game is not on giant bomb, could there be an option to write your own entry into the list? Perhaps add the option to put in the main game homepage into the entry too. Maybe even KToMG could periodically search your own entries and notify you if a giantbomb page has been made for one of those, and you can choose to update the info? Or perhaps expand the choices of databases to search from? Steam and steam greenlight would be good ones.
27 votesThis may be a future Powerup.
Currently any updates can be submitted to IGDB.com which is community-driven and changes will be reflected within an hour or so.

Add a status option for ongoing games, even something simple just like 'owned' or 'ongoing'

26 votesThanks, I do plan to support this for games like Destiny, Fortnite, etc.

Allow us to differentiate between digital and physical copies
For PS3 games, I can choose "PS3" or "PlayStation Network (PS3)", but Giant Bomb has decided to not differentiate between physical and digital going forward, including no "PlayStation Network (PS4)" option [1]. I want to share with my friends and family what games I have, and knowing whether I have a physical copy they can borrow (friends) or it's a digital game that we would have to download (kids) would be helpful.

I want to be able to track releases in other regions or platforms
Right now KTOMG only tracks US release dates. If I'm in another region, I want to track my region's release (UK/AU/Japan). Furthermore, some platforms release at different times (e.g. The Elder Scrolls Online) so I would also like to track specific platforms.

Auto-sync/update game played/playing/active/stalled/etc status via steam
Not sure how detailed the Steam API is, but automatically changing a game's status to Active/Playing if the game has more than like 1min playtime and the "last played" date is within a recent time period (3-6 months?). Also maybe change to Paused/Stalled if it has playtime but hasn't been played in like 6 months or longer.
19 votesYeah, I like this idea and was thinking the same thing. I’ll probably let you customize the timeframes it uses to “auto-sort” them into the right lists.

Replaying/Replayed
I think that there should be a 'replaying' or 'replayed' option to games. I often like to play through games again and it would be nice to have this option.
I am also confused about the difference between 'completed' and 'mastered', and I wonder if both are really needed.
18 votesThis is partially implemented now as part of the March 2026 Caldera Update:
https://updates.keeptrackofmygames.com/post/811074385558536192/march-2026-caldera-update
You can now track multiple playthroughs for replays, or log multiple completions against a game (in cases where you aren't tracking a full playthrough).
What's not implemented yet is integrating this new metadata with existing status lists/workflows. Hopefully that will be coming as part of a wider effort to re-examine game organization and management.

Unplayed Option
When adding new games to collection, add the option to have "Unplayed" status, instead of having to use the "undecided".
